Vivace Theatre Summer School
This summer we want to help create some very special memories. We are delighted to be offering not 1 but 2 exciting musical theatre camps. Inspired by two uplifting musicals, we have an ambitious and entertaining summer ahead.
For experienced performers, there will be plenty of challenges and for those new to the stage, lots and lots of wonderful opportunities to learn about performing. So prepare to act, sing, dance, meet new friends and put on a magical show in just 5 days!

Ancient Greece. A time of gods, mortals... and Hercules, who isn't quite either. But if he's not a god, how can he possibly save the world from Hades? A fabulous story to explore with excellent characters and opportunities for all ages.

Ever since Disney released Hercules on film, a stage production has been a must! With a powerful score and an inspiring message this is a project that is not to be missed.

Join us, as we prove that a true hero isn't measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart.

It’s Romeo and Juliet … but not as we know it! Imagine if William Shakespeare changed the end of his famous tale, making Juliet a stronger woman. What could she go on to become if she had a second chance? ​

Help us celebrate the importance of always staying true to yourself. An upbeat project with great opportunities for both boys and girls and specially tailored, relatable 'Mini Players' workshops for our youngest students.

Details
STRUCTURE
Rehearsals will take place in the VTS studios at 243 Sauchiehall St. You will have four classes each day – 2 acting classes, a singing class and a dance class. You will work on performance pieces from Monday through to Thursday. Friday morning is a technical rehearsal Friday afternoon is the performance.

WHEN?
Either 30th June - 4th July or 7th July - 11th July or 14th July - 18th July for 'GO THE DISTANCE', a Summer Camp inspired by the movie Hercules.
​
OR 21st July - 25th July or 28th July - 1st Aug for 'LARGER THAN LIFE', a Summer Camp inspired by &Juliet the Musical.
​
Classes begin at 10.00am and finish at 4.30pm. Students can be dropped off from 8.00am onwards and can be collected as late as 5.30pm in an effort to accommodate working parents.

COST
The course costs £145 (£50 of which is required as a deposit to secure your place. The balance is not required till the week before the course begins.)
​
There is no additional charge for early drop off or late pick up.

We love meeting new people who are interested in performance and so we'd like to offer you a FREE VIP CLASS PASS enabling you to join us as our guest one week on the VTS course of your choice!
This is the perfect opportunity to meet our team, check out our studio and generally get a feel for what being a student at VTS involves. There is no obligation to enrol whatsoever and our welcoming staff team will be on hand to support you throughout.
